Monty is a futures trading platform. This page says what it stores about you, where that lives, and who else sees it. The short version: your journal lives on our server so it follows you between devices, your broker login never leaves your device, and nothing is sold or used for ads.

What we store

• Your Google sign-in. Your email address, your Google account ID, and which access your account has. We never see your Google password.
• Your sessions. When you signed in, when the session expires, and the name of the browser or device. The session token itself is stored only as a one-way hash.
• Your journal. Trades, fills and stop moves, the grade you gave each trade, notes (including the text of voice notes), trading sessions, chart drawings, fixes, your account rules such as your daily stop, and your settings.
• Ask Monty and voice usage. A daily count of requests, tokens and seconds of audio, so we can apply the daily allowance.
• Billing, if you subscribe. Your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, the subscription status and its renewal date. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

What we don't store

• Your broker login. Your Topstep (Project X) or Tradovate login is encrypted and kept on the device you entered it on. There is no copy on our server, so it has to be entered again on each device.
• Your orders on the way to the broker. Orders go from your device to your broker directly. The trades that result are recorded in your journal.
• Voice recordings. Audio is sent for transcription and then discarded. Only the text is kept.

On your device

Monty keeps some things in your browser (or the desktop app) so it works quickly and survives a dropped connection: writes waiting to reach the server, a log of what this device sent your broker, market data it has already downloaded, your encrypted broker login, and display preferences such as the theme. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

We use two cookies: one keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one protects the sign-in itself. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites. It records things like the page, the referring site, your country and your type of device, never who you are.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of services to run Monty. Each only gets what it needs for its job.

• Cloudflare hosts the app, stores your journal, transcribes voice notes and counts visits. It keeps short-lived technical logs of requests.
• Google handles sign-in. When you ask Monty a question, your question and the trades and notes it needs to answer are sent to Google's Gemini model, through Cloudflare's AI Gateway, whose logs keep that request for a limited time.
• Stripe takes payments if you subscribe.
• Your broker receives your orders and account requests directly from your device, under its own privacy policy.

We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or use your journal to train AI models.

How long we keep it

Your journal is kept for as long as you have an account, because keeping it is the point. You can delete your whole journal at any time from Settings. Sessions expire on their own, and billing records are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it by emailing hello@montytrading.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Monty is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app.
